PINNING
There are 4 pin types - you can only use one at a time.
Order: the returned words will have the pinned tiles in the order selected.
For example: would match with words where the letter C comes before the letter T - but it doesn't matter where in the word or how many tiles are in between. So COAGULATE is a match but so are OCTAL, ACT, LOCATE etc. TELCO would not be a match.
Distance: the returned words have the pinned tiles in the same order and with the same number of other tiles in between as in the letter box.
For example: matches with RETICULAR, RETICULA and TICAL because the pinned tiles are in the same order and with the same number of tiles (but not necessarily the same tiles) in between.
Position: the returned words will have the pinned tiles in the same position in the word as in the letter box. This is useful for finding words where there is a letter at a specific point in the word.
Examples:
would find words ending with an E e.g. QUAGMIRE, MARGE, AGUE etc.
would find words starting with a Q e.g. QUANTS, QAT etc.
would find words where an R is four places from the start OR five places from the end e.g. OCARINAS, SARONIC, RAINS,SCAR.
Exact: the returned words will have the pinned tiles in the same position in the word as in the letter box. The returned words will be the same length as in the letter box. This pin type always returns a perfect anagram.
SUPER BLANKS
Enclose tiles in chevrons and they will be treated as a "compound blank" so words matching any one of the tiles inside a super blank and any or all of the other standard tiles will match.
For example: would match with DEWAR,DOWER, ROWED, WADER, WARED and many smaller words. But WIRED would not be a match. Blanks are currently not pinnable.
